The Carousel Center for Abused Children

The Carousel Center is a non-profit organization committed to assisting victims of child abuse, providing critical care services to children from 15 counties throughout southeastern North Carolina. Referrals are made through law enforcement, social services and physicians. Eighty percent of the children we see were 11 years old or younger, with the most common age in 2009 being only three years old. Of those children whom we see, approximately 90 percent have allegations of suffering from sexual abuse.
