Ground breaking for the Bal Bhavan (Children's Home) was held in 2003 and the home was completed ready to receive children in September 2005. Pictured are several of the 70 children that live in this beautiful home. Most of the children have lost both parents or abandoned by the parents, many of the children are left at the hospital alone as babies. When this happens Dr. & Mrs Lall give their name to the child and CICM becomes responsible for the children's education, clothing and medical expenses, until they are 18 years of age. The average cost per child is around $55.00 [fifty-five US]per month. The donation can be paid monthly, quarterly or annually. CICM also sponsors a second program called CICM's Children's Fund that meets twice a month with local children from the surrounding area to provide rice, vitamins and supplies. In addition they also support over 3000 children in foster care type settings that includes food, clothing, education and medical needs. Only $20.00 a month would supply the needs for one child in the foster care setting. Would you consider helping to support a child for one year.
