Sarah Perry was born in Goldsboro, NC, to Anne Dickerson and the late Hillman Dickerson. She has one sister and three brothers. Moving to Henderson, NC, she graduated from Vance Senior High School in 1978 and got a two year degree from Vance-Granville Community College in 1980. She won the title “Miss Henderson 1980” and fulfilled a year of obligations in representing Henderson.
She moved to Greenville, NC and landed a job with Hendrix and Dail, Inc., a soil fumigation company. Sarah worked with them for 24 ½ years. She was very active in the Boys Scouts of America, Troop 340. She helped both her sons achieve the Arrow of Light Award and the Eagle Scout Award.
In 2006 Sarah married Curtis Perry and they moved to Clayton, NC. She and Curtis currently own and operate C & S Log Homes, Inc. Sarah has two sons, a step daughter and three grandchildren.
Sarah attends First Baptist Church, Smithfield, NC, where she helps in the soup kitchen as often as possible.
She loves her family and friends and enjoys her grandchildren, reading and riding motorcycles.
